Can you guess what Porters new obsession is?

In with the new out with the old. Superman is a thing of the past. And as frustrating as that was, I would rather have that back because at least it was 1 costume. And an actual costume. Now I am having to "use our imaginations" as porter puts it, to come up with Darth Vader, Luke, storm trooper, c3po and I am sure more to come. Should I be worried that my son might have OCD tendencies?

Mothers Day!

What a great day this was for me. I am so in love with all three of my kids and feel so blessed to have them here and healthy! I never thought I would love being a mom as much as I do. They bring so much joy to my life. I love being able to be a totally stay at home mom and enjoy every stage! It also makes me love and appreciate my mom for doing this 8 times and for loving us all and giving us all such good childhoods. I dont know how she managed it but she is pretty amazing.

Harrison Enters the MTC

My youngest brother Harrison entered the MTC last wednesday. I was sad I couldn't be there but luckily my parents and my sister Heather who lives in rexburg were able to say goodbye. We are so excited for Harrison to go and so proud of him. He will be a great missionary and the People of North Carolina are lucky to have him!

Dress up days.

So a few weeks ago it was Teacher appreciation at Eliza's school. Everyday they had the kids dress up as if the teacher went on a vacation to a different country. Monday was African Safari day, Tuesday was Hawaiian day, Wednesday was Mexico (fitting for Cinco de Mayo), And thursday was Orient day. We dressed up for all the days but I happened to have my camera for Orient day and was so glad because Eliza looked so cute. I love that she still thinks dressing up is fun and gets involved. She is such a good sport and I really just love this little girl. She has grown up so much this past year.

On Cinco de Mayo dress up day the kindergarten did another performance. It was adorable. Eliza's amazing teacher had outfits for each of the kids. They did several songs on the stands even singing in spanish! They did a great job! Then they broke off into classes and did the mexican hat dance. Eliza and her cousin Ollie were partners and were loving it.

9th Anniversary

Wow! What an incredible 9 years this has been. I can hardly believe it has really been that long. We are approaching not even being included in the "young marrieds" category anymore. Matt surprised me last saturday and arranged overnight babysitting with my mom for ALL 3 KIDS, took me to dinner and then to the hotel that we stayed at our first night of our honeymoon. It was so nice and such a great getaway. (Again, thanks to my awesome cousin who hooked us up and to my incredible willing mom to take on even more then she already has to do!)

So how are we celebrating our anniversary tonight? Putting kids to bed, studying, blogging and folding laundry!

Another Month

This little missy thinks its ok to just keep growing and getting bigger! I have loved watching every step even though it seems like it is flying faster then I can even believe. She now says dada, mama, baba and a bunch of other jabbers we can't quite understand but think is so cute! Her two front teeth have come through and she loves to rub her tongue and lips across them making some pretty great faces.
She is sitting up now completely on her own which has opened a whole new world of play.

She eats baby food 3 times a day and loves it all. Its pretty cute how well she does with it. She just sits there and opens her mouth for the next bite! She has now decided that she loves nursing and hardly wants her bottle. I feel ok with it because I love sitting in the rocking chair with her and having that time with just her!

Porter and Eliza still just can't get enough of her. Today Eliza told me, "I am so glad Lily is in our family because I can feel her in my heart." Porter likes to get nose to nose with her and says "hello my lily geerl!"
