A Beautiful Day At The Park

We went out to Camarillo to visit Nan and her kids. We spent 3 hours at the park! It was so fun and such a beautiful day. The kids road bikes, played in the sand, played football, chased rocket launchers, relaxed, ate snacks and just enjoyed being outdoors.

Lily 4 months

This little addition to our family has been so fun to have. We all just love her and can't seem to get enough of her. We took her last week to her 4 month check up and she weighed 12 lbs 5 oz and was in the 25 %. The kids are both so good at getting her to smile big and laugh a lot. I feel so lucky with how gentle and loving they are with her. They are always wanting to kiss her and hold her. Eliza is a huge help. I know it sounds crazy with her only being 6 but I don't know what I would do without her. I wish I could have gotten a cuter picture of the two of them because they looked so sweet in their matching Valentines day outfits. Eliza loves to match her sister and I am going to embrace it for as long as I can!
A few more pictures of her from this month!

Meet Super Porter!

So since about a week before Christmas my son Porter has been addicted to Superman. I mean addicted! To the point of obsession.
A couple months before Christmas Matt found the old superman movies for really cheap. So he bought them and watched them with the kids. I think they are a little old for them but now there is no turning back. Porter loves them!

Matt also ordered a Superman costume online for him that has a fan and blows up into muscles for Christmas. This was before we even knew he had this crazy obsession. Well, we wished we would have waited till the very end to have him open it, because after that present, he didn't want to open anything else. We joked that it was the present that ruined christmas! We found some Superman pajamas for him thinking they would be better then the blow up muscles costume. Another big mistake! Now he NEVER wants to take them off. I am in serious negotiations with my 3 year old daily! Then he discovered the whole clark kent thing. He found his DJ Lance glasses, my sister Heathers fedora hat and any jacket he can throw open to reveal his "S". It entertained him all day long. He would go back and forth changing behind doors and curtains. Then run around after he was superman. It was hilarious!
He sings and whistles the theme song while he does it. Then he repeats it about 40 times throughout the day.

And this has been going on everyday since christmas! Its pretty cute and also pretty annoying. Sometimes I think he really thinks he is superman. Luckily his passion at times is an advantage to me. Like when I want him to eat so he can be strong like superman. Or, superman is a good guy and is always nice to people.

For family night Matt and the kids made a superman movie. He found some sound effects and edited it all together. Now Porter asks to watch "his" superman movie several times a day... along with the Christopher Reeves one.

Enjoy!
