Our trip to New York

So for those of you that don't already know, Matt and I lost our camera while we were in New York. Luckily that was the only bad thing that happened on our incredible trip. Here are a few pictures that my Sister in law Ruth took. Thank goodness she thought to take fun pictures of us as well or we wouldnt have anything to show for our trip!

This is us on the back of the red bus tour. This is a bus that takes you around the whole town and tells you about all the sites. It gave us a great over view of new york and allowed us to see many things without having to walk in the freezing cold weather and paying all the cab fares.

This was Valentines Day at a really nice Italian restaurant. We had such a funny server that had a strong accent we could hardly understand. It made us laugh and the food was delicious!!

I really wanted to do all of the "touristy" things while we were in New York. Even though we just had breakfast I really wanted to get a hotdog in Central Park. Everyone was making fun of me but I didnt care! It was fun to do!

Matt and I in front of The Dakota where John Lennon was shot. We walked through the strawberry fields section of central park which was so pretty. We even saw a guy propose to a girl on bended knee.

Waiting for the bus to come back and pick us up. It was so cold but we had a good time laughing and making the best of it. Far left is Katie my sister in law who is married to my brother ben, then me, Ruth married to my brother Scott, and then Kristyn married to my cousin Jon.

At the "Serendipity" cafe! So cute and tiny. We had the delicious frozen hot chocolate and yummy burgers!

We loved all the little deli's everywhere. We usually ate at one for breakfast, grabbed a slice of pizza for lunch and then went out somewhere nice for dinner.

My brother Scott and his cute son Harper. He was such a good baby the whole time. We barely even knew he was there except when he was giggling and cooing! We took the Subway to alot of the places we went to. It was fun to figure it all out, see the crazies on it with you, and the rats on the track!

We also had to buy Hot nuts from the vender the last day in SOHO. We went shopping on Canal street but didnt buy anything knock off. We felt we had already spent enough on the whole trip as it was!

My sister heather was so nice and came up to take care of our kids so we could go. It was so fun to just be the two of us. Some of the highlights for me was going to Phantom of the Opera on Broadway, Dean and Deluca (felicity lovers!), and the Museum of Modern Art. It was amazing and we went on friday night when it was free! Our Hotel was also cool and just being with Matt traveling makes me so happy.

New York Baby!

So, Matt and I are going to New York tommorow. I am so excited I can hardly stand it. I have never been before and Matt went when he was 10 on a church history vacation. So, we are both pretty pumped. So, that is why I havent been able to get caught up on some of the fun and recent things that have been going on in our lives. But I will definitely post about our trip when I get back. Plus, we took a trip to McCall, ID to see some awesome ice sculptures and also my trip to Arizona. Now the anticipation begins for you all.........

Eliza's Dance Recital

It really made my heart swell to see my little Eliza perform at her Dance recital. She has been taking a weekly ballet/tap/gymnastics class at the Little Gym. She loves it and everyday asks me "Is it gymnastics today?" The last week of class they have show week. They did a cute little ballet routine and then a tap routine. She did so well and I couldn't believe that she remembered it all! I have to say she looked so cute up there. I can't believe how fast she has grown up and I actually got a little choked up thinking about the fact that she is old enough to even be in a dance recital. What a sweet day this was. Matt didnt have to work until 2:00 so he was able to attend also. If I can figure it out I will try and post a little video of what he recorded!

Ruth and Harpers Visit to Boise!

It was so fun a couple of weeks ago to have my sister in law ruth and her new little baby come and visit. It was a short trip but so fun! She got in friday afternoon and we ate at the best little restaurant called asiagos. We were practically licking our plates. Matt did some dental work on her and we went out with some of my friends! We saw the movies Kite Runner that was so good. Then the next day matt watched my kids while we went shoppping then met him for lunch at a yummy little european cafe. Later that night we got a babysitter and ate at Costa Vida (Yum!). Then we went down town to a french restaurant for the best chocolate molten cake! (again we were licking our plates!) Afterwards we saw the movie Golden Compass that I fell asleep in and thought it was dumb but it was just fun to get out. Then sunday morning we dont have church until 1:00 (yuck!) so she cut everyones hair and we took these cute 2 month old pictures of her adorable son Harper. He is seriously so cute and is the best little baby!

Christmas Jammies!

I know it seems weird to just be posting pictures of my kids in their christmas pajamas but I am a little behind on the blogging and thought these were too cute to not post.

These kids just love eachother. They are so cute with giving eachother hugs and kisses. I just hope they stay that way in to the teenage years!
